Full Time Driver Rochester, MN Route Manager Job Description:
Schedule:
– Monday thru Saturday, split shift schedule, approximately 40 hours per week.
– Home nightly.
– Morning shift starts in Rochester at 5:00 a.m. and ends at various layover towns around 8:00 a.m.
Afternoon shift starts at various layover towns at 2:00 p.m. and ends back in Rochester by 5:15 p.m.
– Four Sunday’s during peak season.
– Manager to ensure all contracted routes are covered by drivers for all scheduled route times and ensure all mail is picked up from and delivered to all contracted dock locations within scheduled contract times and every scheduled day of the route.
– Manage the driver pool operating on the Rochester.
Qualifications:
– Education- Required: High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred: Bachelors Degree in logistics and/or management, and/or 5+ years related transportation management experience.
– 5+ years commercial driving experience.
– Required: Valid driver’s license, clean driving record. Preferred: Commercial Class B driver’s license, DOT medical card, clean driving record.
– Located within 30 minutes commute time to the Rochester, MN main post office.
– A professional leader always.
– A critical thinker demonstrating independent problem solving and decision-making skills.
– High level of written and verbal communication skills.
– Ability to communicate effectively with team members and customers in professional tone and manner.
– Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
– Familiarity with commercial vehicles and the transportation industry.
– Some mechanical knowledge or experience preferred.
– Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA and compliance.
Compensation:
– $50,000 annual salary plus benefits.
– Benefits include one week paid vacation and employer only retirement plan contribution 15% of wages, approximately $7,500 annually.
Full Time Driver Rochester, MN – Rushford, MN Job Description:
Schedule:
– Monday thru Saturday, split shift schedule, 30 hours per week.
– Home nightly.
– Morning shift starts in Rochester at 5:00 a.m. and ends in Rushford at 7:40 a.m.
Afternoon shift starts in Rushford at 2:05 p.m. and ends in Rochester at 4:35 p.m.
– Departs from the Rochester, MN main postal distribution facility and delivers to the Chatfield, Fountain, Lanesboro, Peterson, and Rushford, MN Post Offices.
– Four Sunday’s during peak season.
– Early advance also available, Monday’s only 2-5 a.m., 3 hours per week.
– Relay car in Hokah available for use during layover as well as $10/day bonus.

– Competitive pay starting at $24.93/hour, approximately $44,380 annually which includes a fuel bonus, sign-on bonus, and paid holiday’s. Paid vacation after one year of employment.

– Four Sunday’s during peak season.

Substitute Drivers:
– Routes depart from the Rochester, MN main postal distribution facility and delivers to the Austin, Winona, Ostrander, Hokah, Mabel and Rushford, MN area Post Offices.
– Routes depart from the La Crosse, WI main postal distribution facility and deliver to the Millston, Norwalk, Seneca, Taylor, Arcadia, Alma, Ft. McCoy, and Tomah, WI area Post Offices.
– Split shift schedule. Routes start in Rochester around 4:30 a.m., and end in various layover towns around 7:40 a.m., then start again around noon or 2 p.m. ending in Rochester around 5 p.m. and La Crosse around 3 pm.
– Home nightly.
– Early advance also available, Monday’s only 2-5 a.m. and 12-4 a.m.
– Monday through Saturday work week. Days and hours vary. Substitute drivers cover time off and days off for the regular route drivers.
– Competitive pay starting at $23-25/hour, increasing with experience and employee longevity.
Job Requirements:
– Valid U.S. driver’s license (CDL or non-CDL)
– Ability to pass a DOT physical and drug test
– Ability to pass a federal background check for access to US Mail
– Clean motor vehicle record
– No felonies or OWI’s in the past 5 years
– Authorization to work in the US
– Ability to lift 50 lbs (occasionally)
– Driver will operate Proksch Transit owned equipment- box trucks.
– Driver must maintain schedule and arrive on time daily.
– Driver must inspect the truck before, during, and after the trips. Notify company mechanic of any problems.
– Complete job daily within guidelines of company procedures and policies, as well as federal and state regulations of operating motor vehicles.
