Compensation
– Competitive pay at $27.61 per hour, increasing with experience and employee longevity.
– Benefits $3.95/hour which includes 401(k) retirement and cash options.
– Paid holidays and 2 weeks paid vacation after one year of employment.
Schedule
– Monday thru Saturday work week.
– Home nightly.
– Routes depart from the Rochester, MN main postal distribution facility and delivers to the Winona, Rose Creek, Ostrander, Hokah, Mabel and Rushford, MN area Post Offices.
– Routes depart from the La Crosse, WI main postal distribution facility and deliver to the Millston, Norwalk, Seneca, Taylor, Arcadia, Alma, Ft. McCoy, and Tomah, WI area Post Offices.
– Routes depart from the Dodgeville, WI postal distribution facility and deliver to the surrounding area Post Offices.
– Routes start around 4 am and end around 10, with each route varying in times.
– Substitute drivers cover time off and days off for the regular route drivers.
Job Requirements for All Drivers
– Valid U.S. driver’s license (CDL or non-CDL)
– Ability to pass a DOT medical card physical and drug test
– Ability to pass a federal background check for access to US Mail and have Authorization to work in the US
– Ability to lift 75 lbs (occasionally)
– Driver will operate Proksch Transit owned equipment- box trucks.
– Driver must maintain schedule and arrive on time daily.
– Driver must inspect the truck before, during, and after the trips. Notify company mechanic of any problems.
– Complete job daily within guidelines of company procedures and policies, as well as federal and state regulations of operating motor vehicles.
